Orthodox ceremony in Siena, the Church of San Pellegrino alla Sapienza
An Orthodox destination wedding in Tuscany is certainly a very different rite from other wedding celebrations. It was a ceremony rich in symbolic moments and full of solemnity.
The looks on the faces of the guys tell of a palpable emotion also felt by all the participants in the wedding celebration.
Couple photo session in the historical center of Siena
Immediately after the celebration of the Orthodox rite, we took advantage of the beautiful setting of Siena to take some couple photos.
A quick visit to Piazza del Campo preceded a more tasteful visit to a gelato shop in the center.
I love photographing couples walking through the historic centers of Tuscan villages. I steal their enamored glances among the crowd that walks by, sometimes indifferent, sometimes involved and participating in the moment of happiness of the guys.

Aperitifs and dinner at Fattoria Pogni
After a quick lunch in a typical trattoria in the center of Siena we returned to the farm to continue the celebrations and enjoy dinner and the party.
Just before sunset we took advantage of the beautiful vineyards surrounding the venue to take more pictures of the couple kissed by the soft Tuscan sunset.
At this point it was time to go to dinner, in a charming location: at dusk, under romantic lights and plants that illuminated the square where the tables were prepared for guests. Excellent food with typical Tuscan dishes and good wine accompanied the guests who, between one course and another, could laugh and be moved by the speeches of the bride and groom’s parents and friends.
After dinner, guests moved under a tree in the garden next to the swimming pool in order to attend the cutting of the cake. Laura and Sava then shared their first dance as husband and wife before returning to the party that continued late into the night.
