This year I took a lot of outdoor wedding ceremonies around Italy but this was special!
In the beautiful frame of Podere Patrignone, Lauren and Dennis were get married under a tree with the tuscan landscape as background.
A truly dream especially if the tuscan light decide to give it’s best!
We had a very strange weather to be honest in fact the first part of the day was sunny but, just after the ceremony, some big clouds have threatened rain. However, we had just a beautiful rainbow to bless this wedding 🙂
Dennis and Lauren officially met at a bar on her 24th birthday when he asked her to dance. After a few dates they learned that they grew up only 3 blocks away from each other and that they had actually “met” years earlier at a High School party Lauren hosted.
She truly believe love is all about timing ☺.
And then the proposal came! They were having tea on our balcony watching the sunset and Dennis just got down on one knee! Lauren was stunned and couldn’t talk (or breathe). They celebrated with champagne and dinner after the fateful “YES”.
For their wedding, Lauren and Dennis wanted something intimate and fun. Having a countryside destination wedding in Tuscany seemed like a perfect idea because they both had visited the country before and loved every minute of it.
Lauren’s cousin actually got married at the venue we chose, Villa Podere Patrignone in Tuscany, and she was so excited to go back. Because the venue is so beautiful, the spouses wanted to keep the décor to a minimum.
The bridesmaids all wore floral dresses instead of carrying bouquets, Lauren’s mom made boutonnieres from succulents and olive branches that we collected around the villa and we kept the bride’s bouquet, the table settings, twinkly lights and lanterns all white to really allow their surroundings to stand out.
From the Bride:
I was never the type of little girl who planned out her dream wedding and so when I was lucky enough to meet the man of my dreams!
It was hard for me to find a wedding site that felt authentically ‘us’.
Choosing a destination and venue that allowed our guests to stay on the same property as us was amazing. We were able to make so many incredible memories over the week and it made the wedding day itself stress-free. We would highly recommend a destination wedding to any couple!
