Capturing Love in the Rain
Florence, the city of art and romance, was the perfect setting for Sid and Parina’s anniversary photoshoot. As a professional photographer, I had the privilege of capturing their love story five years after their engagement in Positano. However, the weather forecast was not on our side, with a high chance of heavy rain on the day of the shoot. But little did we know, the rain would bring out the beauty and passion in their love even more.
The photoshoot in Florence
The photoshoot began near the Uffizi Gallery, where the rain surprised us as it started pouring down. While tourists sought shelter under the arches, I spotted a bicycle in the perfect position for a memorable shot with the Ponte Vecchio as the background. Sid and Parina were up for the challenge and braved the rain under a small umbrella.
The photograph turned out to be one of the most beautiful I have ever taken.
It was such an intimate and emotional moment, and the raindrops on their faces added a sense of rawness and authenticity to the photograph.
The Rainbow
But, the rain did not dampen our spirits for long.
As soon as the shower passed, a rainbow appeared in the sky, adding another memorable moment to the photoshoot. The colors of the rainbow were so vibrant and the way it arched over the city made for a stunning photograph.

San Miniato al Monte
We then took a taxi to San Miniato al Monte, where the rain had left the city almost deserted.
The panoramic view from San Miniato al Monte is one of the most beautiful in Florence, and we were able to capture it without the distraction of crowds.
The view of the city from above was breathtaking and the colors of the buildings and the sky were so vibrant. We took advantage of the moment and captured some beautiful shots of Sid and Parina with the view in the background.
Piazzale Michelangelo
To top off the day, we walked to Piazzale Michelangelo to catch the sunset over the most famous and beloved city of art in the world.
The view from Piazzale Michelangelo is one of the most famous and iconic views of Florence. The colors of the sky and the city were so beautiful and the way the light was falling on the city made for some stunning photographs. We took some emotional shots with Florence in the background.
